Nina is a very pleasant person to go to for a haircut. She takes her time and does excellent work. Sometimes your hair might be a bit shorter than you want but I am of the attitude that hair grows. Not everyone might be like this so I would caution you to be extremely explicit with her as to EXACTLY how much of your hair you want cut off or even better explain exactly where you would like your hair to hang once it has been cut. My only complaint is that they do like to use a lot of products and will try to sell you all of them at the end of your haircut. Just be polite and decline unless of course you have unlimited budget than enjoy the splurge. I think the prices could be slightly lower -- perhaps by about $10.00 or so if they wanted to be more in line with similiar salons. However regardless of all of the above you don't have to worry about getting a bad haircut from Nina -- she has excellent scissor skills.

Nina has a very upbeat personality and currently works in a lovely salon, Blue Gemini Hair Studio in Riverbend. She's easy to talk to and will suggest colours and cuts to suit your face. Her cuts are exceptionally technical and the colours she does for me are very complimentary for my skin tone and look incredibly natural. She works 6 days a week, so she's hard working and is available many hours. However, I feel I have to be very specific with her when requesting a cut, or she'll just do a reasonable facscimile of what I requested. I also feel she's under a lot of pressure to upsell to clients. I went in for a cut & colour. Just that. She told me a solid colour was boring and she wanted to add some 'panels'. I had no idea what it meant, but apparently it meant partial highlights. When she was washing my hair she suggested a conditioning treatment. I declined the treatment, but not the 'panels'. When I was about to pay my bill was $100 more than I expected. After much reasoning with Nina & the salon director, they cut $30 off my bill. If a stylist suggests something, ask if there is an additional cost!
